What a year it has been at La Nouvelle Histoire! Our place in the heart of Normandy welcomed more guests than we could have ever dreamed of. We look back with gratitude on a season where many chose a peaceful holiday in France, surrounded by nature, silence, and charm.
Renting a gîte in Normandy: more guests than ever
Our first gîte, with views over the rolling Normandy countryside, was well-visited all year round. Guests came to relax, enjoy nature, and be surprised by the charm of the Norman countryside. The positive feedback gave us the energy to continue building something beautiful.

At the start of the year, we dreamed of opening gîte 2 before summer. Due to the busy season and many bookings, this was slightly delayed – with love, as ensuring a wonderful stay for our guests has always come first. Behind the scenes, a lot of work has been done, and we are now in the final phase. Gîte 2 will again be a place where simplicity, comfort, and atmosphere come together. The ideal place for anyone looking to rent a charming gîte in Normandy.
New project: a small, quiet campsite in Normandy
As soon as gîte 2 is ready, we will focus on our next project: a small, peaceful campsite. We dream of a place where you can enjoy the outdoors with your tent, camper, or caravan, surrounded by silence and wide views. A place where you wake to birdsong, cook outside, and read a book or enjoy a glass of wine at sunset.
Like our gîtes, we want to create the campsite with care and attention. Our goal is to create a place where guests feel welcome, where nature takes centre stage, and where you can truly escape daily life.
