Year Full of Milestones at La Nouvelle Histoire
As the year comes to an end, we look back on an incredible journey. While 2024 is drawing to a close, we reflect on a period filled with progress, hard work, and unforgettable moments. Here’s a recap of all that we’ve achieved this year.
A Dream Taking Shape
After a quiet start in January, we rolled up our sleeves and got to work. Here’s what we’ve accomplished:
•The outdoor patio received a brand-new roof and is currently being improved.
•A cozy wood-burning stove was installed in the kitchen, complete with a repaired chimney.
•We made a major leap toward sustainability by replacing all gas installations with electric systems.
•The campground area, spanning almost 4,000 m², has been fully cleared and prepared for development.
•A sauna and hot tub have been built and are already being enjoyed by our guests.
Le Petit Gîte: A Highlight in April
The opening of Le Petit Gîte this spring was a huge milestone for us. We’re thrilled by its success and the amazing guests we’ve had the pleasure of hosting. Here’s a little recap:
✔️ Over 40 bookings so far.
✔️ Welcomed 17 dogs. 🐕
✔️ Hosted guests from the Netherlands, France, Belgium, Singapore, Spain, Denmark, the USA, England, and Switzerland.
It has been so rewarding to meet people from all walks of life and hear their stories!
🏡 But There’s More…
This year has also been marked by big transformations and achievements:
•The roof of our house was completely replaced – a big project, but the result is fantastic!
•The campground permits were finalized, meaning we’re officially ready to launch in 2025. ✅
•Gîte 2 is currently under development, with plans to open its doors in April 2025.
•In September, our episode of Het Roer Om aired. We loved hearing all your wonderful feedback and support! ❤️
⚒️ Grateful for the Support of Many
In addition to the major projects, we’ve completed countless smaller tasks – thanks to our family and friends, who have supported us every step of the way. Together, we’ve achieved so much, and we couldn’t be prouder.
