We’re excited to share that we’re creating something special at La Nouvelle Histoire – a small, intimate campsite with just six spacious pitches, nestled in the peaceful Marais wetlands near Carentan.

Opening in spring 2026, this won’t be your typical crowded holiday park. Think generous space, natural surroundings, and the same tranquility our gîte guests have come to love. Each pitch will offer privacy, stunning marshland views, and easy access to Normandy’s beaches, villages, and D-Day history.

What to Expect

Six Spacious Pitches
We’re keeping it small on purpose. Just six pitches means plenty of space, peace, and a genuine sense of escape. Each pitch will be generously sized – no cramped corners here.

Modern Facilities
While we’re still finalizing details, our campsite will include clean, modern sanitary facilities, electrical hookups, fresh water access, and waste disposal. Everything you need for a comfortable stay.

Perfect for Motorhomes & Caravans
Whether you’re touring Normandy in a motorhome, traveling with a caravan, or prefer tent camping, you’ll find space to settle in and unwind.

Access to Wellness Facilities
Campsite guests can book our private sauna and hot tub (€35 per day) – because who says camping can’t include a little luxury?
